Hello everyone.
I have a slow restore with onbar and TSM.
My environment is:
Informix Version is 11.50 FC3 in Solaris 10.
TSM Server 5.5.3 in Windows 2003 R2 64bits
TSM Api 5.5.2
I took a backup and this activity was very speed but the restore was very slow.
Backup time: 3 minutes.
Restore time: 20 minutes.
Anybody have idea how to improve speed.
Thank a lot

have you tested your network throughput speed from the tsm server back to the
database server? Maybe there is a network switch setting issue or card setting
issue that is causing slow transfer going back.

Our network is 1000 Mbps. The throghput speed in the moment to backup was 750 -
950 Mbps. But when restored network used was 10 or 15 %
I used ontape and put the backup file in the same disk where is the primary
pool (TSM). The difference time of the process to backup and the restore was 1
second.
size of ontape file: 5.0 Giga
time ontape -s -L 0: 4 mins, 22 seconds
time ontape -r: 4 mins: 23 seconds
Other idea please.
