If anybody wants more info I can try to get a contact for them. Basically, QUERIX is a fast 4GL compiler that compiles code which runs faster against an INFORMIX Database. It also allows engine portability - but at the cost that all SQL must be standard ANSI. That in turn rules out MATCHES does it not? And that means 4GL with no CONSTRUCT statement. Or at least, no construct which would produce MATCHES syntax. Does that sound good? Malcolm Weallans Online Database Consultancy Phone 01628-72154 Fax 01628-37463 CIX - onlinedbc
