Mark, Suffice it to say that the C-ISAM Product was the original base platform for all of the Informix Database Tools. They may have moved from the platform, I'll accept that. But to offer a product for sale, accept money for maintenance and then refuse to acknowledge the test results of their own Technical Support Staff is simply bad business. I am still attempting to get this software fixed. This was all supported software for the Linux Environment. Yes I had Major Software commitment on DEC Ultrix. I had thought that my Investment in Informix Technology was safe, especially when we bought the software last September! I still want this product to work, after all my Customer and I BOTH have quite a bit invested in this. If there is something that you can do to assist, I would appreciate it! "Used to be" because I have closed the bug with a NOT-NIS assertion (and I've sent extensive emails to a number of people, including Albert, explaining in detail why this is the correct assertion, going into all the details I didn't explain in my original posting on this subject). The C-ISAM product as supplied is not defective in the manner described (there may be other bugs, but this isn't one of them), and the definition of stfloat() in the master source code effectively reads: void stfloat(src, dst) double src; char *dst; { ... } The prototype for the function is thus, correctly: extern void stfloat(double src, char *dst); The documentation is technically accurate but is definitely misleading -- and Tech Pubs have been informed of this. I believe the issue has been resolved. -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
