ifx 2000
trying to connect via inet from a pc to informix 2000 dynamic server i
get
908 can't connect error...
the ids is running fine and i have a database setup.. ican access
locally
using dbaccess -- no problems... only when try to connect via i-net
(testing using ilogon) .. i have a similar setup on another linux box
using 7.30 and
have no problems connecting via the same interface... Is there anything
else that need to be installed other than the ifx200 rpm anyhelp would
be
appreciated...

Did you configure network connections (soctcp)? If not,
that's the trouble.
Have you checked whether you can connect from the local
host using the network connections? If not, do so.
Have you compared the 7.30 and 9.20 ONCONFIG files?
Can you connect from the machine running 7.30?
You shouldn't need anything other than what's in the
Foundation.2000 software to enable connections.

You have a mismatch somewhere:-) Can you connect locally using the
network connection? Have you got onsoctcp on the PC? Is the hostname
correct on the PC?
