databases in i4gl

When I choose one option in the main menu, I receive the following message: "-25553: sqlhosts file not found or cannot be opened". So, my question is - How can I have all conditions to create and have access to one database. Thanks in advance.

At first, test if you have IDS correctly installed. ( Of course, you need DB server before you can use I4GL :-)) ) Run dbaccess as Informix user and check if you can work with database. (To create sample database you can run "dbaccessdemo7" ) "sqlhosts" file is in /opt/informix/etc. Add next line: orion onsoctcp stargate sqlexec where orion is name of your Server Instance in onconfig file, onsoctcp is TPC communication protocol for OnLine, stargate is name of your computer (see /etc/hosts), sqlexec is name of service in /etc/services file (typically sqlexec, 1526/tcp) Leos > I have installed informix 4gl720ud7 for linux.
