Wierdness - Failure to start errorlog (fwd)
Posted in 1994
Check the permissions on the errlog file. I know, this is pretty obvious. Also, we use libraries to handle such administration in all our programs. The error you described happened to us when the libraries were rearranged. The call to the start function was moved during the rearranging, and as a result, it was no longer part of the program! ---- original message from Jack Parker ---- * * * Folks, * * We have a single largish application with multiple source modules. In the * first module (the one with the MAIN section) we call startlog() - all * subsequent modules have historically not needed to make subsequent calls * to startlog. Everything has worked well for over a year - now I'm getting * an error that errorlog has not been started. Does this ring anybody's * bell? 4gl version 4.10.UD2.
