Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

According to the IDS 9.4 docs, I can move the physical log like this:
set IFX=D:\\IFMXDATA\\ol_bronco
copy nul D:\\IFMXDATA\\ol_bronco\\physpace.001
onspaces -c -d physpace1 -p %IFX%\\physpace.001 -o 0 -s 8192
onparams -p -s 8192 -d physpace1 -y
ontape -s -L 0
The IDS bitches on the onparams that 8192 is too large.
I tried various values, but 7000 took.
Sometimes it complains about not being a multiple of the page size and
other times just says it's too big.
Then, onstat -d showed it to be 2048 in size with 245 free.
But onstat -l showed it to be 1750 in size.
(This is on Windows 2000 and NT, so the page size is 4096.)
Then I tried
onspaces -c -d physpace0 -p %IFX%\\physpace.000 -o 0 -s 9000
onparams -p -s 8192 -d physpace0 -y
Now, onstat -l shows the physize = 2048 (i.e. 8192K).
and onstat -d shows 2250 with 149 free.
I guess that means I should have made the space (2250-149) * 4096/1024 =
8404
to allow onparams to use 8192.
What do other people do in this instance?
I mean what is the conversion to use between the two "size" parameters?
