You said ODBC, so assuming you're using ADO, inspect the errors collection
of the connection object. This collection usually contains the Informix
error messages. Then run finderr to see the text.

You need to find out what the ISAM error code is to fix the problem.
This error code is in the sqlca structure, in sqlerrd[1]. I'm not sure
how you would reference it using ODBC, I would think you could do a
dbinfo(sqlca.sqlerrd1), but I'm not sure.
It looks like someone may have an exclusive lock on the table.
