Dear all, I've updated the FAQ! New version at www.smooth1.demon.co.uk Info on - commonly encountered Informix bugs. - Windows NT Service Packs required Informix Online versions - archiving and buffer cache usage in Online - Tuning Online NETTYPE - Debugging Onarchive (from the only onarchive question I've seen all year, but now I can say the faq DOES cover onarchive) - SQLS to - load blobs using dbaccess - indentify outstanding in-place alters - Indentify Informix server versions from SQL - Tell which session is using the most logical log space - Improved - Section 1.8 lists expected features for the forhtcoming 9.30 version of IDS 2000 - Section 6.46 mentions XPS 8.3 has platform dependent larger page sizes and so can support chunks >2gb - More undocumented Online stuff. Note setting SHMBASE to 0 on HPUX makes shared memory dumps unusable as 'the internal pointers get screwed up in the dump file.' Enjoy, David.
