Two instances on same machine,conerr=-25592
A user running two IDS 11.50.FC4 instances on one Solaris 10 box could connect to each instance separately from dbaccess, but a cross-server distributed query (SELECT FROM db@othersrv:table) failed with error 908, conerr=-25592 ("communications service not supported by network driver"), oserr=4. Suggestions included adding entries to hosts.equiv and .rhosts (tried, no help), checking that the local instance actually has TCP listeners configured, and a final hint that the sqlhosts protocol entry "oltlitcp" should probably be "ontlitcp". Are you using the hosts.equiv file? I suspect that a nysrvbo entry is
needed in there. This would be the case if the hostname of the server is
nysrv.

finderr -25592 gives: Communications service not supported by network driver.
I don't know Solaris and TLI, but on HPUX you could get such errors if you try
to access a remote instance and the current instance (where the select is
executed) hasn't been started with TCP connections configured (only shared
memory connections active).

and again, I can switch between instances,from dbaccess , no problem,
but I can't run select on table from one instance to another.
