Problems with ON-Bar
Posted in 2015
Hello friends! I have a problem running the UN-Bar on my server because it aborts execution immediately. I find errors in the bar_x.log are: 2015-10-28 18:19:41 4156 4516 C:\\\\informix\\\\bin\\\\onbar_d: process exit 149 (0x95) 2015-10-28 18:20:12 1976 4240 C:\\\\informix\\\\bin\\\\onbar_d -b -L 0 cemdo 2015-10-28 18:20:12 1976 4240 Logical Logs will not be backed up / salvaged because LTAPEDEV value is NUL 2015-10-28 18:20:14 1976 4240 Begin level 0 backup cemdo. 2015-10-28 18:20:14 1976 4240 Successfully connected to Storage Manager. 2015-10-28 18:20:14 1976 4240 XBSA Error (BSACreateObject): A system error occurred. Aborting XBSA session. 2015-10-28 18:20:20 1976 4240 C:\\\\informix\\\\bin\\\\onbar_d: process exit 3 (0x03) The strange thing is that last week I tried it on another server, and it worked normally. I have the same values in the variables using the ON-Bar on both servers, and the same amount of dbspaces. On the server where it appears the error was using the BrightStor ARCserve Backup 9.0, and need to use the ON-Bar because I have disabled the tape drive and do not get it (is an LTO Ultrium II). Is it possible that some configuration of this software is preventing the execution of ON-Bar ?. I have taken the collection of services BrightStor down before attempting the backup. I hope someone can give me a hand. Of course, I appreciate your attention. Ah, that I have the IDS is a 7.31 TD6 running on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.
