Hi Last midnight I had a disconnection between db1,db2 of my servers, I sent the online.log of db1 Can any body help me to know why this problem will appear ? I also search the net and there was some good guidance one of link is : http://www.iiug.org/forums/ids/index.cgi/read/24736 and this: http://www.dbforums.com/informix/1643885-shared-memory-monitoring.html but I don't know realy what is the problem Regards Sophia
Also the amount of memory on db1 is : 500 and on db2 is 250 I don't know is there any relationship on memory ? -----Original Message----- From: ids-bounces@iiug.org [mailto:ids-bounces@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Alikhani Sophia Sent: Saturday, March 30, 2013 12:55 PM To: ids@iiug.org Subject: ASF Echo-Thread Server: asfcode = -25582 oserr.... When the primary reports the ping timeout the ping thread closes the endpoint, so then the primary send thread reports the ASF error since it was likely either trying to do a send or when it next went to try and send something. So the cause of your 25582 error was the ping timeout, but from the MSGPATH file it's not possible to determine why the primary/secondary pair ping timed out. It could be an interruption in the network between the 2 servers, or if not that, it could be the secondary was having some problem which backed up to the primary making the primary stall out and no longer be able to send pings because the secondary couldn't accept any more data.
