Hi, We're developing an intranet application in ASP and need to get to data that's in an c-isam database. I have a couple of questions regarding c-isam. 1. Is it possible to get some sort of ODBC connection to c-isam (3rd party or Informix)? 2. What are the characteristics of c-isam (yes, i'm a complete newbie)? Any information would be greatly apprectiated. Eric van Wijk
Sure you can. You can use the Informix SDK to get the ODBC drivers. Characteristics of C-ISAM? From an ODBC perspective, assuming you're using Informix SE, you shouldn't notice much difference. Some things may not be supported, but it's rarely something you can't live without.
