Stupid mistake :-)
Posted in 1999
Hello,
i did a stupid mistake and am looking if there is a way to recover. We
had
to quickly change the logging mode of a database. First I performed a
level 0 backup, then i performed a level 0 backup to /dev/null when
doing ontape -s -A db_name. Then i forgot an additional level 0
backup. The logical logs were automatically backed up to tape.
Before the next level 0 backup occured the server crashed with a
complete
data loss. Now there is a problem in restoring this database. The level
0 backup goes
in without problems but the logical logs aren't restored because the
database is
still in an unlogged state.
Is there a way to
1. restore the level 0 backup
2. change the logging state to Ansi
3. Restore the logs ?
Thanks for help
Peter
