What Operating System are you using?
With Unix or Linux you can write a small script to change the field name in the
SQL, assuming you are doing a dbschema or dbexport.
Any way you can just use an editor to change the SQL.
What method are you using to export from Informix ?

IDS is installed Windows 2000 server and the laptop use win Xp pro.
I can export the Database using dbexport and as you said changing the name
of the field name is not a big problem. As i am not familiar enough with
mysql to import the database in MySql ... i will go and ask in a mysql
newsgroup :-)
Many thanks for your help.
