IDS 2000 using HACMP (mutual takeover using cascading resource groups)

Dear all, I would be very grateful if anyone could give any info about using Informix pref (IDS 2000) on HACMP using mutual failover. There will be two servers each with one informix instance accessing its own database. If either of the machines fails, its resource group (in this case just the informix application) will be failed over to the other box. This will then have two instances of Informix. That is how I believe it wil work! Does anyone know where I can get anymore info on HACMP with Informix? What are the issues with HACMP and Informix? I understand I will need to ensure that the server numbers are unique so when the two instances are on one box there are no shared memory clashes. Thanks in advance. HACMP is supported by Informix, just be sure to: - Install Informix on local disks on each server - The files, paths, and configuration should be identical. This means that $HOME/.profile, /etc/services, $INFORMIXDIR, $ONCONFIG, $INFORMIXSQLHOSTS, and sqlhosts files are EXACTLY the same. - dbspaces should ALL be located in the SHARED disks. - Create shell scripts that start and shutdown Informix (include all environment variables needed) and give the filename/path to the person that will configure the HACMP. Happy Holidays!
