I've seen this on an IBM RS/6000 560 development box. After going round and round with both IBM and Informix, I finally reached a level of support ( Informix ) that told me to just get rid of any reference to the /usr/lib/FCM directory, which is where the c4gl and esql scripts are searching for 'lowsys.exp'. After doing so, all my source compiles fine. I believe the PTF from IBM to add the Common Libraries is: U437141. Although I installed the fix, my problems persisted. kevin
