determine if raw chunk is free?

Hi everyone. Aside from looking at each databbase on a server to see what raw chunks the dataspaces are associated with.....would there perhaps be a fullproof way of determining if an existing raw chunk is free and unused by a existing dataspace? the IDS is 9.40.FC6 and the server is aix 5.2 Thanks, Will
Hi, if all database instances are up and running you could use the unix command fuser <file/device> to check if any process is using a raw device. You must check character AND block devices - unless you are sure that all your links (?) point to character devices.
