c4gl error

I have installed informix4gl720ud7 for linux. The version of linux that I have is winlinux 2000. WinLinux 2000 is a full Linux system (based in the Slackware 7.0) , based on Kernel 2.2.13, KDE 1.1.2 and glibc2 as standard development library. GTK 1.2.3 is also included as are some libraries: libtiff, libmpeg, libpng, etc. When I try to make a .4gl file executable appears - error -4604 found in 4gl module. In .err file - The following errors were discovered during compilation: /usr/i386-pc-linux-gnulibc1/bin/ld: cannot open -lcrypt: No such file or directory collect2: ld returned 1 exit status. I put libcrypt.so file in /usr/informix/4gl720ud7_linux/lib/tools (I obtained the file on the internet) and now the error is /usr/informix/4gl720ud7_linux/lib/tools/libcrypt.so:file not recognized:File truncated collect2: ld returned 1 exit status. How can I solve this problem. I'd like to work with c4gl compiler. Thanks in advance Jorge
