Hello, INFORMIX-4GL Rapid Development System Version 7.20.UD6 INFORMIX-SE Version 7.24.UC6 AIX 4.3.1 Is there a way, in a transaction, to insert some rows with a serial column without locking the table for others inserts ? In another way, I would like to say to the engine that, in a transaction, some statements aren't in the transaction. Funny, isn't it ?

I APOLOGIZE, it isn't for another insert, but for a delete from another process (it's a sort of communication system between two process). > In another way, I would like to say to the engine that, in a transaction, > some statements aren't in the transaction. > > Funny, isn't it ? > >

You would use connect with concurrent transaction... I am not sure how other tools deal with this situation. Will
