HI to all: I hope some body can help us with this problem we have two databases created on two diferent machines . database_one was created on a linux box with red hat 6.2 and informix foundation 2000 , and database_two was created on a HP box with HP-UX 11.0 and informix 7.3. So in the database_two exist a table called table_two and has a trigger , this executes a stored procedure wich primary objective is to execute a shell with a system call , so with a remote insertion done from database_one example insert into database_two@some_server:table_two values(BLA,BLA,BLA) we get the error 668 and a additional like this 2:no such a file or directory. Even if i put a set debug file instruction in the stored procedure when i run the insert statement from the linux box i get cannot open debug file and the 668, but if repeat the same scenario between two HP boxes the system call simply executes. So i want to know if we configured something bad in the linux box , because i cant execute remote program with a system call in a stored procedure from any linux box to the HP boxes that we have , and from my point of view the remote calls between informix database must work , because is a feature of the product , so maybe we have some thing bad in the linux box like for example the kerberos security feature , we don't know for sure what is happening . And we have the same configuration working on multiple HP's machines in a every day basis working rigth now.
