Re: Informix Log File?

Hello, what I must to say, your client have to either read books or attend Online Adminitration course. Understanding of logical logs is a must. Logical logs are not normal files but internal server' objects. They can become full if either they are not backed up or long transaction failed to roll back. To "back up" log automatically you may specify "/dev/null" as a tape device for log backup (parameter LTAPEDEV) To prevent failed long transaction roll-back keep total logical log space large enough. Ones again, read the book.
