IDS v10 JDBC 'Cannot create an user thread'

Hello,
I'm looking for help deciphering this error.
I installed IDS v10 onto Windows XP with the IIUG installer. I have a server
instance, a database and a schema. I see my tables OK with dbaccess, and also
with the SQuirreL GUI via JDBC. But when I run my server, on what is probably
the first database access, I get:
java.sql.SQLException: Cannot create an user thread. On NT check username and
IXUSERS group
In the Windows Registry, my '10.00/Setup/Role Separation' is '0', and my
'10.00/Security/IXUSERS Group/Name' is '*'.
Thank you,
Ken Ward
Hello,
Which version of JDBC?
Which username are you connecting as?
How many characters in the password?
What is the connection URL if that is known?
Did you make any changes to the default IDS connectivity (such as listening on
named pipe instead of TCP for example)?
Thanks
Guy
