Folks, What would be the easiest way to find out the empty space in a DBSPACE. What I am looking for is , even if I have given a huge extent for a table in a DBSPACE, that table might not be occupying the whole extent. So, essentially, how do I calculate actual space the data space for the table Thx, Niraj
Hi, to get the empty space in a DBSPACE use ONSTAT -d . oncheck -pt databasename:tablename
-OR-
oncheck -pT databasename:tablename
Either will report allocated and used pages and also categorize the pages
as to whether and how many are data, bitmaps, other overhead, index pages,
etc. Also how many are partially -versus -completely full will be addressed
in the -pT report beyond the summary that the -pt report provides.
