sqlunload: quotify.c:38: quotify: Assertion `bufle

Topics: Migration, Import/Export & Data Conversion
Attempting to use myexport to test migration of a database; however sqlunload fails for every take unload. [informix@argus UNLOAD]$ myexport testdb Building schema file ... Waiting for data exports to complete... Database selected. 0 row(s) unloaded. Database closed. [informix@argus UNLOAD]$ cat testdb.exp/xrefr00367.unl.out sqlunload: quotify.c:38: quotify: Assertion `buflen > len' failed. ksh: line 98: 18969: Abort(coredump)
This looks like a problem in sqlcmd code. I will take a look, but hopefully
Jonathan can join the conversation.
As for testing myexport, you can try adding the -E option which uses
dbaccess and external tables (assuming your engine is 11.50 or later)
instead of sqlunload.

Adam: The comments in Jonathan's code in quotify.c suggest that the SQL passed in from myexport may have unbalanced quote characters in it. Can you uncomment the following two lines in myexport, rerun it, and send me the output: # strn=sprintf( "FMT=%s\\ ", FMT ); # Just for debugging # printf "%s\\ ", strn; # Just for debugging Let's see if I've introduced a bug in the most recent release.
