'systables' VERSION question.

Yesterday, we upgraded the Informix On-Line engine from 7.23 UC6 to 7.24
UC6.
I then issued the following command at the prompt to check the version:
onstat -
It says, 7.24 UC6, which is correct.
However, when I run the following query, I see something else :
select * from systables
where tabname = ' VERSION';
It tells me that the 'owner' (version) is 7.23C1 & 'created' (date) is
06/12/98.
Is this correct ? or should it say 7.24 instead of 7.23 ??? Does it mean
that the system catalog tables were not updated ??

Any help would be appreciated .
Thanks.

The row in systables containing VERSION is inserted when the database is
created. If You
just updated Your system without exporting and importing Your data, it will
tell
You the version used when the database was created. So there is no need to
worry about that.
