Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
A user asked where to get a graphical SQL editor for Informix. Suggestions included AGS Server Studio (Java-based, www.agsltd.com), the free DBStudio for Informix, the old Informix sqleditor400.exe from the Informix Database Administrator CD (via tech support), and eSQLEditor (downloadable from the IIUG FTP site, with features like syntax highlighting, schema/DDL browsing, script execution and export to CSV/Excel/HTML). The poster couldn't get DBStudio to run (others suspected a missing Java runtime or connection issue) and resolved it by installing eSQLEditor instead.

Possibilities: Info about tables, views (with text), synonyms (with
text), columns, indexes, functional indexes, constrains (with check
text), triggers (with text), procedures (with text), new IDS9 data
types, generate DDL (only test yet).
Syntax highlighting of sql text. Search and replace. Undo/Redo.
Executing of sql scripts or selected part. Logging of executing with
timings.
Export to cvs, excel or html results of queries or tables data.
Auto save text of SQL tabs, and all program parameters (font size,
panels height and etc).
In bottom-left corner in status bar shown estimated cost: estimated
number of rows returned: number of rows processed after executing
query.

Well, I installed it many times and it always ran from the first moment.
Of course, you have Java runtime installed?
Is it maybe just a connection to IDS problem?

Check with tech support to see if they can still get you a copy of
sqleditor400.exe I have a disk (Informix Database Adminstrator vers.
1.0-1) from a good while back that contains not only sqleditor but also a
replication manager, table editor, and a ISM manager as well.
Thanks
