Problem with altering tables
Hello,
I am getting the following errors when trying to add a
field to certain tables of my database:
-211 Cannot read system catalog SYSTABLES
and
-111 ISAM error: no record found
The errors occur from both dbaccess (table - alter) and
the alter table command.
I am running Online 5.02 UC6 on a Sun Sparc 20 (SunOS 5.3).
I have called the support line about this. They gave me
several suggestions which did not help. The only one
I have not tried yet has been to unload and drop the
tables which are causing the problems. Export the
database. Import the database and re-create and re-load
the tables.
The support person did say that this had happened to
other Informix users. If this has happened I would greatly
appreciate your solutions.
Just for information, there was no corruption found by any
of the tbchecks.
