Where is esql executable?

I downloaded the Client-SDK from Intraware for SCO OpenServer and installed it. Is there supposed to be an executable file "esql" in the $INFORMIXDIR/bin directory? None exists after the install. I'm trying to relink Openlink's Informix database agent per their instructions, and their script fails with "$INFORMIXDIR/bin/esql: not found."
Did you go physically look for the executable? cd to $INFORMIXDIR/bin and ls esqlc. If it isn't there, something most likely went wrong with your install. If it is there, make sure that your PATH environment variable includes $INFORMIXDIR/bin. Yes, I physically looked for it, and it's not in the bin directory. There is a file named "esqlc" in the lib/esql directory, but the Openlink script is trying to run bin/esql, not esqlc. Specifically, the line in the script that is bombing is: LIBS=`$INFORMIXDIR/bin/esql -static -libs` || exit 1 The value of $INFORMIXDIR is set properly and exported, and $INFORMIXDIR/bin is appended to PATH. The install of the Client-SDK ran without errors. It was run as root, and there is both a user and group "informix" on the system. Is there supposed to be an esql or esqlc file in the $INFORMIXDIR/bin directory? I tried linking lib/esql/esqlc to bin/esql and re-running the above command, and got: esqlc: Error -33004: Option '-libs' does not exist or has bad format. Something ain't right..... <mars1972@my-deja.com> wrote in message news:8ioink$pe8$1@nnrp1.deja.com... > Did you go physically look for the executable? cd to $INFORMIXDIR/bin > and ls esqlc.
