IDS 7.3x Admin courses???

Hi everybody. Got a small dilemma here. We are running Peoplesoft with IDS 7.31 on HPUX 10.20 and need to train somebody as my backup (so I can go on vacations and actually live a life). HOWEVER, after perusing the Informix course catalog we find that, hey, the only Informix admin classes being offered are for IDS.2000. Well, we'd just LOVE to upgrade, but IDS.2000 is not supported by our version of PeopleSoft, and won't be for probably another year or so. So we're left with either of these two options: 1) Hire a third party to train the employee(s) or 2) Convert to (*ahem*...*cough*) Oracle, due to the superior PeopleSoft support on Oracle platforms SO MY QUESTION IS: can anyone recommend a third party Informix training option for 7.3x??? Or, has anyone else come across this problem with the need for training? How have you gotten around it? I'd much rather stick with Informix due to its stability and ease of administration, but they're not leaving me with much of a choice here. I'll convert to Oracle in a second if it will mean my long-term support/training concerns will be solved. Many thanks for your time. I assume you're in the US, so I can't comment upon your actual question. But I don't think you'll find the backup courses much different between IDS v7.31 and IDS 2000. drumzspace <drumzspace@my-deja.com> wrote in message news:8kfgon$p5g$1@nnrp1.deja.com... > Hi everybody. > > Got a small dilemma here. IDS.2000 and IDS v7.3x administration is virtually identical. Just tell the new guy/gal to ignore all that neat stuff about virtual tables and datablades which are only brushed over anyway and smart BLOB spaces. Art S.
