Hello,
I downloaded the IDS trial(9.40.UC2E1) for linux from IBM's website. I
installed, configured and initialized the engine on my redhat 8 machine. I
am able to connect to it from dbaccess from the linux box. I can not
connect to it from a windows client using ilogin, i am getting a -930 error.
My services file on both machines are setup correctly and i can ping the
linux box from the windows client. I am able to connect to another informix
box from my windows machine using iconnect so i am pretty certain that the
client is setup correctly. While it is timing out i can see some network
traffic on the linux box over port 2000(which is what my services files are
setup for). Is the trial limited so i can not have remote connections? If
not, is there something else i should look at?
Thanks,
Bill
sorry, i am getting a -908 error
