Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Quick and dirty answer:
How many users are you running? 128 MB should be OK for let's say 10 users.
How large are your largest tables (number of records/size in MB of .dat)
Unload, drop and reload your largest tables or at least drop/create
indexes on them.
Second disk might help, but stay away from IDE, they cannot queue
operations
like SCSI can.
