I currently have the following four log spaces: logdbs, logdbs2, logdbs3,
logdbs4. They are all mirror'd.
I want to drop the primary of logdbs so I can relocate it to another
dbspace. When I tried to drop logdbs, I got the following error: cannot
drop first chunk.
Is there anyway I can drop logdbs and use just the other three until I swap
out the drive it is currently on and re-create the dbspace?
Also, does anyone have a shell script routine to add and drop logical logs
based upon given dbspaces to spread them out on and the number of total
logs? This was a very tedious process, what with 200 logs involved and 4
dbspaces.

You are going to have to drop all of the logical logs in the first dbspace
(see the address in onstat -l), then you can drop the old dbspace, create
the new log dbspace and create new logical logs in the new space. Remember
that in order to be completely safe you should take a level 0 archive at
least before and after this process and I'd recommend another after dropping
and creating the dbspaces but before adding the logs in. The archive after
is needed to enable the new log files.
