onweb or ISA versus IECC
Posted in 2000
What I like about it was that it worked right after installing (the manual was useful for a change, Informix! Way to go!). It took me less than five minutes after downloading to get the first screen on my browser, then another minute to configure my instances... and then came the wait while results were sent to the browser (I never was able to finish the display of my Hash Tables option; don't choose this for very large databases). For the most part, reaction was relatively quick-to-reasonable. Hey! I'm easy to please. If it installs and configures just as they say in the accompanying manual/README and I can run it without crashing it the first day of trials, I'm happy. Now... let me at that underlying code!... It's just me? Oh, okay! No it's a total pile of shit, ask Tim - he loves the way it installs:-)) Shame I thought it had potential, but it looks like something that was knocked up in an afternoon as a training exercise for the 'care in community' programmers. Have looked at the code:-)) > > Cheers, > -- > Mark. -- Paul Watson # WF Software # If it was easy Tel ++44 1436 674729 # Everybody could do it Fax ++44 1436 678693 # www.wfsoftware.com/informix #
