Experiences with Informix's OnBar and Storage Managers

We are looking for products which can be used to backup Informix databases to an IBM 3575 tape library in the UK. At our corporate headquarters, we use IBM's ADSM and a 3494 robotic library. However, we are looking for less costly solution with less administrative issues for our European location. HP's Omniback II has been suggested as a possible solution. We are interesting in learning what has worked the best of other Informix sites. Our (SAP) Informix databases will reside on IBM AIX (UNIX) platforms. The site also runs Windows NT servers for desktop applications. Therefore, the storage manager will likely reside on a Windows NT server. The storage manager, which we select, needs to support imported restores of an Informix database from one UNIX server to another. Therefore, this seems to rule out the use of Informix's ISM that is bundled with IDS 7.30. Your comments and experiences will be greatly appreciated.
