Problem with connecting via testconn40

Hi, Test via testcon40 -ide cant end with succes, its stop on step 3. Of coure i know what is step 3, but this is bit different problem. Please look at pictures below http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/685/inf1.png/ and http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/801/inf2.png/ On 1st u see that my test fail on step3, on second u see connection from R9 server studio. Problem is that im 100% sure that database dmbos, that user informix got rights to that database and im sure that password is correct. Where i should i look for error in this chain? Piotr

oh, i dident add important thing. When the step3 goes on its very long time out ~60sec. This is informix 11.70 On my last informix 11.50 when test goes the step was very fast, it was ok ot it was not. Maybe this long timeout is a clue?

Hi, I found this : IC69345 ERROR [08004] [IBM] SQL30061N WHEN INFORMIX DBPATH IS SET TO ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE DEFAULT <- this is the comment to 11.50 Its still in 11.70? Im using 11.70 and I rly can find the problem.

Hi, Sorry for post after post. (is there any option to edit last post?) I continue my investigation on my own. I install another Os, another instance of db to be sure that problem is not attachet to existing os. I made a test: first i saw something like that: C:\\\\Program Files\\\\IBM\\\\Informix\\\\11.70>dbschema -d test -p all DBSCHEMA Schema Utility INFORMIX-SQL Version 11.70.FC5IE -387 - No connect permission. Ok, so i GRANT CONNECT TO PUBLIC, this help for error -387. another test looks like: C:\\\\Program Files\\\\IBM\\\\Informix\\\\11.70>dbschema -d test -p all DBSCHEMA Schema Utility INFORMIX-SQL Version 11.70.FC5IE -23197 - Database locale information mismatch. database mismatch it is not important now. Ok, I try again with testconn40: Step 3: Connecting using "database=test;server=10.10.10.171:9089;userid=info rmix;password=xxxxx" ERROR [08004] [IBM] SQL30061N The database alias or database name "TEST " was not found at the remote node. SQLSTATE=08004 still nothing, i dont have any clue where problem can be. I read very lot about this problem, but in most cases problem was that user havent connection right or it was a wrong dbname... I double checked my settings, user is correct, he got right to that database, database exist, whole db instance work corectyly. Like i wrote on first post i can connect via Server studio to this database. But i cant via net provider. I will be very grateful for any help. Piotr
