update stats of columns
Posted in 2003
Hi, maybe a stupid question, with dostats -LIC the following updates are generated : 1. UPDATE STATISTICS LOW FOR TABLE cas DROP DISTRIBUTIONS; 2. UPDATE STATISTICS HIGH FOR TABLE cas (csscod); 3. UPDATE STATISTICS HIGH FOR TABLE cas ( docnid ) DISTRIBUTIONS ONLY; 4. UPDATE STATISTICS LOW FOR TABLE cas (csscod, docnid, casocc, caslin); 5. UPDATE STATISTICS LOW FOR TABLE cas (docnid); Have update stats low for specific columns (line 4 and 5) sense after an update stats for the whole table (line 1) ? If not then I have to ommit the C from -LIC Thanks, Yves Dieltiens ------_=_NextPart_001_01C2F524.860A6090 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

<META HTTP-EQUIV=3D"Content-Type" CONTENT=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META NAME=3D"Generator" CONTENT=3D"MS Exchange Server version = 5.5.2653.12">
update stats of columns

Hi,

maybe a stupid question,
with dostats -LIC the following updates are = generated :

1.
