Problems with TEXT data type.

Hi,
I am with difficulties with data of type TEXT.
Necessary to store in an attribute of the table around 2GB of data.
I tried with CHAR, but it stores only 32KB. Then I decided to use the TEXT,
where it would be stored in BLOBSPACE.
When I try to make a INSERT I receive the following message from error:
617: A blob data type must be supplied within this context.
As to decide the problem to have a 2GB attribute.
In the manual of the Informix, it says that to make the INSERT I must use
DBLOAD or LOAD.
But this table will be used in a applicatory one.
This will have to make the INSERT's through procedures, passing this STRING of
2GB as parameter.
We test in the SQL SERVER, and functions.
What I must make?
Denis
Thanks.

======================================================================
In order to load a blob into a table using dbaccess you need to call the
function filetoclob or filetoblob, such as:
INSERT INTO candidate (cand_num, cand_lname, resume)
VALUES (0, 'Haven', FILETOCLOB('haven.rsm', 'client'))
INSERT INTO candidate (cand_num, cand_lname, resume)
VALUES (0, 'Haven', FILETOBLOB('haven..jpg', 'client'))
