Online 5.10 --> SE 7.2 ? Smart Move?

Hi, Looking for opinions... We run Online 5.10 on SCO Openserver5. I'm thinking of upgrading to SE 7.2 on the same platform. Is this a good move? I'm trying to minimize the amount of care and feeding in the department but know next to nothing (only what I've read on Informix.com) about SE. We run a small (1GB), but mission critical DB. Hi! I would not do this. 1 GB is not exactly small. How is this split between tables? Please keep in mind that there is a 2 GB file limit on Open Sever, so your largest table cannot exceed this. If you have large tables (100,000 records and up) with a few indexed performance on deletes in SE is not very good. I understand your concerns about administration and they are perfectly valid. 2.5 yrs ago, I upgraded a system from 5.X SE to 7.2SE on HP and the performance was so bad, especially on reporting that we were forced to move to 7.2WGE. We still had some peformance issues as most reporting was still about 30% slower, but we were able to cope. If you are doing any signficant reporting or online transacations, I would not move to SE.
