bug in Informix ? Very strange error

Hi everybody, Here is a strange problem we are facing, Using Informix Online DSA version 7.23 FCI on O/S Version Digital Unix V4.0A, Server DEC Alpha (Class E) when we give the fglpc command we are getting the error . Table cannot be accessed :syscatalog error this is only once in a while almost all the occassions we are able to compile. oncheck -ce, -cr, -cc gives the following results [[ SCA210~1.01 : 1319 in WINMAIL.DAT ]][[ SCA210~1.03 : 1320 in WINMAIL.DAT ]][[ SCA210~1.04 : 1321 in WINMAIL.DAT ]] but when we try to open this WINMAIL.DAT we couldn,t locate the file The result of onstat -D is the following. [[ X171098 : 1080 in WINMAIL.DAT ]] I tried to do a dbexport on the database in the Test instance thrice with the following results : 1. Failed. Errors : -245 Could not position within a file via an index -172 ISAM error: Unexpected internal error These errors occured at the very outset, immediately after granting resources to the various users. 2. Failed after a few files were exported with the following errors : -211 Cannot read System Catalog (Systables) -172 ISAM error: Unexpected internal error 3. Failed again with the same errors as (1) above. Please help us to identify this problem. Thanks in advance, Please reply to infodata@batelco.com.bh
