KBR (Kagel Buffer Ratio / Bufwaits Ratio)

The Kagel Buffer Ratio, Art Kagel's Bufwaits Ratio: bufwaits / (pagreads + bufwrits) x 100, from onstat -p. It shows how often the engine had to wait on a buffer or LRU queue latch. Below 7% is well tuned; 7 to 10% means unusual contention; above 10% is serious, usually LRU contention, which is normally eased by raising LRUS and CLEANERS.
