We got it, Jonathan. In version 4.1 and after, error message explanations
are distributed on the product tape and there is a shell script,
$INFORMIXDIR/bin/finderr, which in this case says:
% finderr 522
-522 Table (table-name) not selected in query.
The table shown appears at some point in this query, but it does not
appear in the FROM clause. Review the uses of this name: if it is
spelled as you intended, then add it to the FROM clause.
It would also appear in the error message manual distributed
with products since 4.1.
