Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
A small shop (a dozen users) reported a huge jump in Informix maintenance/support costs and pressure from management to move to MS SQL Server. Suggestions were to check licensing edition and make sure they were on Workgroup rather than Enterprise, with one poster noting SQL Server replication compares badly to HDR. Discussion then stalled on conflicting information about whether Workgroup Edition still existed: IBM had told one poster it was gone, yet others said it was still on price lists and licences had recently been sold via Openline. No resolution on pricing is recorded, just joking about IBM's inconsistent messaging.

I am "sceptical" about this assertion.

We sold some Workgroup licences last month, through Openline rather than
Passport Advantage admittedly.
I'll look it up on the PA site when I've got half an hour to spare waiting
for the site to load ....

In my experience its right hand is too furiously engaged in some other
activity to have time for communication ...
