error no 761

Hai all, Is there anybody can help me.... Today I create synonym but it has not done i found error : 761: INFORMIXSERVER does not match either DBSERVERNAMEor DBSERVERALIASES. Check the value of the INFORMIXSERVER environment variable. It should match one of the lines in the sqlhosts file which should also be listed in the ONCONFIG file as either the value of DBSERVERNAME or as one of the aliases listed in DBSERVERALIASES. Art S.
