Hi! We have a informix 4gl program that loads data into a database. First the program reads a text file into a temp table and then processes the data and inserts it into other tables. The problem is that the program "crashes" in some cases. Whether it crashes or not seems to depend on the size of the text file. The last time it crashed the text file was 14MB but text files smaller than about 8MB seems to work fine. The program exits with the following message: OOPS4GL run-time error number -4339. 4GL has run out of data space memory. Has anyone experienced this kind of problems? Does anyone know how to correct the error? PS. The version of the RDBMS is Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.UC2A on SINIX-Y/Siemens RM600 DS. Looks like a bug in your file I/O function(s) which are not 4GL. Looks like they are pushing things onto the 4GL stack and not popping them off again. Art S.
