Poor Performance

Hi,
I recently upgraded our Informix software and have noticed a
significant drop in performance (specifically I dbexported the
database, removed 4GL 6.04, SQL 6.04, SE 7.12, installed 4GL 7.20, SQL
7.20, SE 7.23, then dbimported the database). OS is SCO OpenServer
5.0.5 on a dual 400mhz Dell PowerEdge with 256 MB RAM running RAID 10.
About 45 users connect via a telnet client.
Until the change to 7.2 and the dbimport all was fine. The performance
drop was imediately noticeable and drastic so I'm inclined to think
it's something I may have hosed up in the installation.
Informix support could only suggest that I change the net_type from
setlitcp to seipcpip but this did not help. Have run secheck on some
of the major tables but have found no problems with the indexes
Anybody have any other Ideas. Please help! My users hate me!
Thanks,

Hi!
Have you run "update statistics" after dbimport?

Update statistics and OPTCOMPIND=0 would be two things to check.
