Wolfgang hit it. The problem is that in your old 4GL version the cursors were global, in newer 4Gl versions, including 7.20, cursor names have file scope. To accomplish this explicit and implicit cursor names have the file name appended to them. Sometimes this causes the names to become too long. You have two options, as Wolfgang said, compile with -globcurs or manually shorten the cursor names or source file names. If the flagged names are not explicit cursor or statement names you may be compiling intermediate .ec and .c files created during an older compile session. Try removing all .ec and .c source files that have a corresponding .4gl source file and compile again. Art S.
