RE: Problem in oncheck ...

A "finderr -13" command returns: -13 Permission denied.
It sounds like your permissions or ownership are not set properly on this
raw device.
If you are using symbolic links, look at the file to which the link points.
For example:
1) Issue: ls -l <path-name> to determine the real device name
lrwxrwxrwx 1 informix informix 13 Apr 18 1999
/informix/PRD/sapdata/physdev0/data02 -> /dev/rinflv02
2) Issue: ls -lL <path name> to determine ownership and permissions for that
device:
crw-rw---- 1 informix informix 71, 8 Jan 09 21:05
/informix/PRD/sapdata/physdev0/data02
The permissions should be 660, the owner should be "informix" and the group
should be "informix". If you find different values, you need to change
them.
In this case I would issue the following commands if the values were not
correct:
1) chmod 660 /dev/rinflv02
2) chown informix /dev/rinflv02
3) chgrp informix /dev/rinflv02
Good luck.
