Do you turn the engine offline before your Unix backup? Otherwise there is no guarantee that you will be able to restore. If you backup your production logs using ON-Bar you may be able to restore them (external backup completed). The only way is to test it. Is't possible to resotore the logical logs files alone, from the production machine daily or is'any other faster way to do this. We are not in the paractice of doing 0'level database backup. only OS back is performed daily. Thans in advance. Regards Jagadish __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
