Linux and HPL?

If I launch the onpload utility on a linux platform, I receive the
message
"High-Performance Loader is not available on this platform."
On a SUN Workstation it works fine. What's wrong with it? Have I to
upgrade my linux or my Informix DBMS (we use Informix Dynamic Server
Version 7.30.UC7).
Can anyone explain this?

With IDS 2000 UC1-2 onpload is present even in LINUX
